Castle Point Fitness New Zealand
Auckland, New Zealand: Castle Point Fitness was established in 2021 solely to introduce the highly successful Planet Fitness franchise model to New Zealand. The initial clubs are opening in November 2025. The fitness center industry in this market generates ~$460 million in annual revenue and is now forecast to grow by around 2% a year as it benefits from a rebound in consumer confidence and resumes its growth trajectory. The Lightship Enterprises team identified the New Zealand market as ideal to introduce the Planet Fitness high value, low cost model, and created Castle Point Fitness to develop and manage the clubs. Our scalable business model is characterized by experienced leadership, lean operations, high-quality facilities, impactful marketing and strategic financial initiatives. The Planet Fitness investment is targeted at delivering robust long-term financial performance.
